Description:

1. Develop and Implement Risk Assessment Framework:

- Implement a robust risk assessment framework across the organization to identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks.

- Ensure alignment of the framework with organizational objectives, policies, and industry standards.

- Continuously review and improve the risk management framework to keep it effective and relevant to evolving business conditions.

2. Drive Control and Compliance Mindset:

- Cultivate a strong risk and compliance culture within the organization by educating and advising stakeholders on the importance of risk management.

- Promote a mindset of proactive risk identification and mitigation among all employees.

- Develop, update, and implement policies, guidelines, and training programs to support risk management activities.

3. Risk Identification and Mitigation:

- Work with internal teams to identify risks in operational processes, financial transactions, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and other areas.

- Analyze data and risk metrics to assess the severity and impact of risks, and propose strategies for mitigating identified risks.

- Collaborate with business units to implement effective risk mitigation strategies and ensure adherence to established controls.

4. Establish and Lead Risk Management Team:

- Build and manage a high-performing risk management team with appropriate expertise in risk assessment, compliance, and control processes.

- Define team roles and responsibilities, ensuring the team effectively supports risk assessments, reporting, and mitigation actions across the organization.

- Foster a collaborative and proactive team environment focused on continuous improvement in risk management practices.

5. Reporting and Communication:

- Prepare and present risk assessment reports, highlighting key risks, mitigation efforts, and control effectiveness to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.

- Ensure that risk reports are clear, concise, and actionable, providing decision-makers with the necessary insights to take appropriate action.

- Communicate risk-related matters effectively across departments and to external stakeholders, as necessary.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with relevant local and international regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies related to risk management.

- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and emerging risks that could impact the organization’s risk exposure.

- Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments as needed.

7. Continuous Improvement:

- Review and assess risk management processes and make recommendations for improvements.

- Lead post-incident analysis and lessons learned sessions to enhance risk management practices and prevent future occurrences.

- Promote the use of technology and data analytics to improve risk detection, monitoring, and reporting.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. A professional certification in risk management (e.g., CRM, FRM, or similar) is a plus.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, internal control, or compliance roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.

- Experience in developing and implementing risk assessment frameworks, managing risk mitigation strategies, and driving compliance initiatives.

- Proven track record of leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, and compliance processes.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and propose effective solutions.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex risks and solutions to senior management.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.

- Proficiency in risk management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
